Personality Traits

A list of traits to help you get a better idea of what you might want your character to be like. Keep in mind that this list is just for brainstorming purposes, do not list these traits as the description fro your character.

Personality Traits

• Bitter: Some people become bitter towards all others due to past experiences. This may help them take bad news or a bad turn of events, but this also may prevent them from having an optimistic point of view.
  
• Bold: People who are bold tend to rush into action without thinking. They also may speak up when they shouldn't. This trait can also lead to arrogance.
  
• Brave: There is a difference between bold and brave. While the bold may rush in without a second thought, someone who is brave will still go, but they will put more thought into their actions. The brave are typically those who hunger for adventure. This fact may be their downfall.
  
• Calm: Those who are calm are able to subdue all other emotions, which can be a benefit. There is a downside though, those who are calm natured risk becoming sedate and missing a threat
  
• Clever: Some people are adept at solving problems and finding ways out of situations. Though they may be brilliant, there are stories of some being too smart for their own good.
  
• Compassionate: These are people who can understand others. This is an amazing talent, but it is also a weakness when ruthless action is called for.
  
• Cunning: Those who are cunning are adept at deceit and plotting against others. These people usually become arrogant or caught in their own traps.
  
• Curious: One who is always eager to learn. Just remember "Curiosity killed the cat"
  
• Determined: The strength to focus all of your energy on a goal. This can be a weakness though, causing the person to have tunnel vision of sorts.
  
• Extrovert: Extroverts are skilled at meeting or introducing themselves to strangers. They typically live public or semi-public lives and are easy to track down because of it.
  
• Fearful: Those who typically with turn tail and run due to their extreme fear of most things.
  
• Fearless: To have no fear at all when charging into a situation, but usually let their valor get in the way of rational thinking.
  
• Fiery: The ability to rally up a crowd. Their temper is their downfall.
  
• Generous: Their kindness knows no ends. This typically leads to them going without something.
  
• Graceful: Some people posses a poise and grace that cannot be matched. This ability though typically means that they must avoid becoming injured for fear of losing their talent.
  
• Hard Worker: The will to work as hard as you can to achieve something. This sometimes is a downfall though, causing those with this ethic to work themselves into the grave.
  
• Independent: Wishing to work alone? Feel like others are getting in the way? Those who posses an independent nature typically want to do things their own way, and on their own. They feel that others just get in the way.
  
• Innocent: Those who are often naive of the world's true nature. They typically have an honesty and simplicity about them.
  
• Open-Minded: Viewing the future and others while keeping an open mind is very hard to do. Those that posses this ability though, are able to adapt very easily and are natural survivors.
  
• Quick-witted: One who acts on instinct and can view problems and solve them as quickly as you can blink. Their fast thinking can be their undoing, causing them to be impatient.
  
• Quiet: Some are quiet by nature. They are quiet in the way that they speak, the way they work, and the way they walk. Hiding in their shell comes naturally to them.
